What We Did
This magnificent art deco building used to be home to John Lewis before being vacant for several years. With beautifully decorated architectural mouldings, ornate features and high ceilings, the building offered incredible opportunities to make a strong design statement if sympathetically managed. The proposed design incorporated the grandeur by retaining and exposing all the ceiling features and original windows. A quirky internal pod room was designed for short overnight stays.
