This new-build hotel had previously been designed, but there were opportunities to improve the layout and develop the underlying concept. A review of the brand guidelines highlighted an opportunity to have a greater level of interactive space at ground floor. In addition, improvements to the room arrangements resulted in creatively zoned bedrooms. Smaller rooms had a stronger emphasis on an intimate ‘cocoon’ bed design that took on a slightly quirky feel to the whole room. Clever storage, richer finishes and clearly articulated spaces all combined to improve the overall guest experience.
