What We Did
This proposal involved the demolition of a former, disused pub building to form a new apartment development within an established domestic streetscape. The design maximised the site potential by reflecting the architectural surroundings in a contemporary way, thereby enlarging the gross internal area. Distinctive dormer gable features continued the rhythm of surrounding houses, whilst cleverly creating more internal space. The design sought to comfortably site within its surroundings whilst forming a distinguished ‘book-end’ to the line of houses.
